WGBO Univision internship program offers training for students that are interested in a Broadcasting Career. We work with colleges and universities to provide students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom. The students will be given the opportunity to work with photographers, editors and our production crew. Prerequisites
To be eligible to participate in the WGBO-TV/Univision internship program, student must be actively participating in a cooperative college internship program to earn academic credit for their work experience. WGBO-TV interns are paid the current state of Illinois mandated minimum wage for hours worked.
How to apply for an internship Interns are required to submit a letter from their college or university with the following information:
- The start and end dates of your internship
- The amount of academic credit to be earned upon completion of the internship
- Approval of your participation in program
After a review of your submitted paperwork, an interview will be arranged with the appropriate department head to determine your eligibility for specific intern position. Upon acceptance, all interns will be asked to complete an I-9 (proof of employment eligibility), W-4, and sign an internship agreement. Students may work during the fall, spring, or summer college semesters full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days per week) based on student availability.
